British heritage brand Mulberry is turning heads with its latest limited-edition collaboration, this time joining forces with celebrated UK-based South Korean designer Rejina Pyo. Known for partnering with prominent designers like Paul Smith, Nicholas Daley, and Priya Ahluwalia, Mulberry is now spotlighting Pyo as part of its ongoing Mulberry Editions series.
Rejina Pyo, who is marking the 10th anniversary of her eponymous label this year, has drawn inspiration from Mulberry’s iconic designs to create a timeless yet playful collection. The Mulberry x Rejina Pyo collaboration includes bags, accessories, ready-to-wear, and jewellery, blending Pyo’s distinct minimalist style with Mulberry’s heritage craftsmanship. One charming touch is a leather Teddy Bear keyring, adding a hint of whimsy to the collection.
Reflecting on the partnership, Pyo expressed her admiration for Mulberry’s ethos in a statement: “When I collaborate with someone, it’s important for me to consider what they value, what they bring to the world, and how they treat people. The timeless design and ‘Made to Last’ ethos really resonated with me. Mulberry creates pieces you want to cherish and treasure for a long time, and it’s that essence that I always aim to imbue in my own brand.”
The collection features a reimagined version of Mulberry’s classic Blenheim silhouette, with its iconic exterior pockets pared down and a knotted closure borrowed from Pyo’s own designs. A sophisticated top-handle crossbody bag, inspired by Mulberry’s Clovelly range, adds to the allure of this collaboration. The range further highlights both brands’ dedication to responsible sourcing, with all leather used being sourced from environmentally accredited tanneries and certified carbon neutral through offsetting efforts in partnership with the World Land Trust.
The ready-to-wear offering showcases Pyo’s signature minimalist aesthetic, reinterpreting classic British design archetypes. Standout pieces include an oversized camel coat crafted from organic cotton, a belted suit in heritage check made from responsibly sourced wool, and a draped knit top in a rich autumnal leaf green alpaca blend. Additionally, the collection features two pairs of earrings and a necklace, each with a unique textural finish, rounding out the luxurious yet understated accessories line.
The Mulberry x Rejina Pyo collection reflects a shared commitment to sustainability, ensuring that fashion lovers can invest in beautiful, lasting pieces that are also kind to the planet. The limited-edition range is available online and at selected Mulberry and Rejina Pyo stores, with prices ranging from £175 to £1,195.
With this collaboration, Mulberry and Rejina Pyo deliver a collection that effortlessly combines heritage design with contemporary elegance, while reinforcing their commitment to responsible fashion.
